What should I do with the packaging?
You decided to own your sex life and purchased a sex toy. A few days later, you go to your mailbox or porch and there it is. I'm sure you are interested on what's inside, but you should know how to do the proper disposal of the packaging.
We understand not everyone wants to advertise their sexual journey to the family and neighbours, so our packaging is discreet. No one will know if you're receiving a pair of socks or a vibrator.
Mailers
Our mailers are made from 100% biodegradable and compostable materials; corn starch, PLA (synthesised from corn) and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate). PLA (Polylactide) is a bio-based, biodegradable material made from renewable plant material (starches such as corn husks, rice straw and wheat straw). Learn More.
The most sustainable option for disposal is to put it in with your food scraps and garden waste. They will break down within 90* days in a compost environment in a non-toxic process. Yes, they’re fine in worm farms and will be broken down in a bokashi too. Our labels are compostable as well, so you don't need to worry about removing them.
The mailers have been certified AS 5810-2010 for Home Composting, meaning they will be completely degraded by microorganisms in the natural world under compost conditions.
Bubble Wrap
Our bubble wrap is made out of recycled plastic and can be recycled again! You can take it to any recycling drop off area.
Tissue and Sticker
Our Tissue & Stickers are 100% biodegradable, acid-free, and printed with soy-based ink. Our Stickers use a non-toxic adhesive. Simply remove the tissue and sticker and recycle or compost either at home, or in a commercial facility. Learn more.
Manufacturer Packaging
Each manufacturer uses different materials in their packaging, so there isn't a single answer. Most of them can be recycled as they are made of paper and/or plastic. We're more than happy to send you specific instructions per manufacturer. Simply reach out!
