We make a donation on your behalf!

There isn't anything better than feeling good and knowing that you're also helping so many other people. That's why we donate a percentage of your purchase to empower young girls and women around the globe.

At this moment we are supporting the "Because I Am A Girl" project by Plan Canada through monthly donations.

Every day, millions of girls around the world are denied their basic human rights – simply because they're girls. Because I am a Girl is Plan lnternational's initiative that supports the youth-led movement for girls' rights and gender equality.

Your support is helping girls access basic human rights that will protect them and give them the ability to transform their lives – and the lives of everyone around them.

Where the because I'm a girl project is active

  • The right to survive: We’ll ensure girls have access to health care (including reproductive health services), essential nutrition, clean water and sanitation. In West Africa, for example, we’ll provide access to reliable pre- and post-natal care that will help treat childhood illnesses and encourage safe deliveries. In countries like Tanzania, Ghana and Ethiopia, we’ll educate mothers on how to provide the best nutrition for their newborns. And in places like South Sudan, we’ll provide clean water and sanitation services such as latrines, which are essential in keeping girls in school.
  • The right to an identity: Together we’ll help thousands of girls get registered at birth in places like Bangladesh, Mali, and Zimbabwe. A birth certificate provides an official identity and is legal armour against exploitation and abuse, paving the way to social, educational and political rights.
  • The right to protection: Violence and abuse prevention programs will bring healing, rehabilitation and reintegration to girls who have experienced sexual exploitation in conflict areas like Colombia.
  • The right to participate: You’ll help ensure girls have a voice, are part of decision-making and actively take charge of their own lives. We’ll provide training in vocational skills, life management skills and financial literacy. We’ll create youth savings and loan groups to help provide livelihood opportunities, build independence and kick start girls’ futures. In West Africa, for example, our Bank-in-a-Box program will help young women save money and work together to leave poverty behind.
